I am a Tui Na Masseuse specializing in Chinese Medical Massage at the LifeCare Acupuncture Clinic, while pursing my Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine degree and licensing.
My journey to Chinese Medicine: I found my first exposure to Chinese Medicine through the LifeCare’s Clinic's founder, Valerie Lee. She was my Kung Fu instructor and Acupuncturist during my undergrad at San Francisco State University. I decided after graduation and living life out in the world that my exposure to this profession of medicine and healing was not only a very viable and exciting future career, but also a rewarding and satisfying lifestyle that I wanted to pursue.
About AnnaBryn Simkowitz-Rogers
My education & experience: Tui Na massage is my first step toward my future in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I am a certified Tui Na Massage Therapist, through American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Currently, I am a student at the college, in pursuit of my Masters degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I hope to encompass not only my training in massage, but my greater understanding of Chinese Medicine to provide a holistic and in depth massage treatment for my clients.
My philosophy: I am most interested in using massage as an opportunity of change on all levels within the realm of an overall health regime. To do this I believe in following a patient closely over the course of time as a team towards greater picture of health and well-being, while building future of being pain and ailment free. I also practice with the honesty, that some cases take some time to really see some deeply rooted changes that are sustainable in the long run. So, I will do my best to work with the patients needs to accommodate seeing them for a course of treatment that we set as a team. This way we can work effectively as a unit towards your goals of optimum health. I believe that after our work in the treatment, you will walk out of my office feeling relief and relaxed from what is ailing you.
Note: I believe strongly in the fact that, if I don't know the whole picture of what I need to do for a total treatment, I will be honest with you. And I will do the research necessary to be better prepared for the next time I see you in an appointment. Or I will find a referral for you for someone who is better suited for your care.
